If its THE power spot of your region than it's a big deal to the locals there and rightfully so. I would expect the local tribes to know where the local power spots are and have reverance for them. I am getting that there is a small vortex to the nothwest of town, not a real powerful one though. A lot of times people are drawn to a particular area more by the energy of the other people already there than the grids of the area. I suspect this is the case.
