we got a few weeks off here in Southern Colorado for no apparent reason, but today they hit hard.  This the thickest I have seen them in quite some time

Looking North East

To the West in this one you can really see the line after line after line they have been going all day long.

To the South East

This was yesterday after digging the car out of the snowbank it slid into.  My camera doesn’t focus well on clouds and especially with the angle of the sun at this point in the day but the barium rainbows were some of the strongest I’ve ever seen.  About two minutes after the photo these had spread out to the point where they were so transparent you could not photograph them at all and within a couple more minutes they were dispersed.

I forgot to post this the other day, I was driving to town when I noticed this rainbow straight up and down.  There was no rain, snow or other moisture in the area at all.  There were a few clouds some chem haze and low humidity.

Here I enhanced some settings so it could be seen better and you then can see the sun hitting the barium over a large area to the left of this “rainbow” area

I took this pic of a parially frozen waterfall and when i got home and got it onto the computer, in the droplets from a high shutter speed a lady appeared I then went back and looked closer at the other falls pics and it seems that before I headed up close to the falls there was a man with a shield there that then morphed into the lady up close. I had been frustrated that the camera I was using was not able to take a shot in the bright light at a slower shutter speed. Little did I know it was a little gift.
